Position:                                   Finance and Administrative Manager

Classification:                           Full time Position 40 hours weekly

Position Summary:                    Responsible for the Coordination of Organization’s Finances and Administration

Reports to:                               CEO

Asthma is the #1 reason children are hospitalized and often the #1 reason they miss school. Allergies are the third most common chronic disease among children under the age of 18. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, a United Way Agency, has been a leading resource for those with asthma and allergies in the Midwest for over 40 years. AAFA-STL’s medical assistance programs provide uninsured and underinsured children with life-saving asthma and allergy medications, equipment, education, and support in homes and through schools. Our growing programs serving families living with food allergies will continue to educate, make safer and unite this community. Programmatically, we have grown tenfold in the last year, and we need to add innovative, solution oriented, impact hungry, destination thinking individuals to our team to help continue this growth.

Finance Manager Job Responsibilities: Looking for a Finance and Admin Manager who:

Is ready to help an organization grow into a ten MM impact driven entity.
Coordinates all financial processes including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
Manages finances for a growing foundation.
Prepares financial reports.
Implements strategies to increase return on investment and profitability.
Oversees and reviews accounting tasks, including payroll, taxes, and compliance.
Collaborates with the team to produce budgets and track key financial performance indicators.
Meets deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
Adheres to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Oversees related general office duties including:

¨     Responding to incoming calls and guests and direct appropriately.

¨     Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment for daily running of office daily.

¨     Drafting letters and maintenance of inbound and outbound mail.

¨     Organizing and maintaining files.

¨     Execute correspondence to the Board.

Responsibilities may also include:

¨     Maintain organization calendar with key due dates and status updates on a weekly basis. This includes grant reporting deadlines and vendor contracts.

¨     Performing other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the CEO

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related major is preferred.
At least 3 years in some finance or accounting role is highly preferred.
Executive Support role experience a plus
Nonprofit accounting experience a plus
Accounting or finance degree a major plus.
