Program Director, Donor Impact

All About You
JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Program Director, Donor Impact prepares multi-channel and multi-level reports for donors, including, but not limited to, scholarships, named funds, and contributions summaries. Works with the Development Communications team to design and prepare appropriately branded and professional materials. Liaises between development, gift processing, business & finance, and academic units to understand, compile, and share financial and impact information about named funds, scholarships, and areas of support with donors in a timely manner. Identifies and troubleshoots fund issues that appear in the data with the appropriate departments across the University. Works closely with the development team to share the donor reports in the most meaningful and accessible way. Identifies areas of improvement within the existing impact reporting timeline/structure and other reporting needs to better share with donors of all levels the impact of their contributions to SLU. A successful candidate will have strong written communications skills, the ability to work well with constituents across the university to identify and highlight impact stories to share with our donors, as well as the technical skills to successfully create, proof, and deliver engaging and meaningful collateral to our donors.

JOB DUTIES:
• Responsible for all aspects of donor impact reporting from design through delivery.  Reports include but not limited to scholarship impact reports, named fund impact reports, and segmented interest area impact reports.
• Collaborate with areas within development and across the university to identify donor impact and bring stories to light.
• Responsible for generating stewardship recipient reports as requested by development officers. Manage and executes the annual Year End Giving statement project.
• Assists the Executive Director, Donor Engagement with projects throughout the year to support varying stewardship efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially mail merge features, and strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Knowledge of development, stewardship, and the donor cultivation cycle
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree; supplemented with three-five (3-5) years of related work experience.
