About AAFA-STL:

Asthma is the #1 reason children are hospitalized in St. Louis. Allergies are the third most common chronic disease among children under the age of 18. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, St. Louis Chapter’s (AAFA-STL) mission is to serve children and their families affected by asthma and allergies through education, support, and resources. Since 1981, AAFA-STL, a United Way organization, has served children and youth up to age 22 experiencing asthma and allergies in Missouri and Illinois. AAFA-STL believes all children should have access to lifesaving treatment, disease management education, healthy air quality, and resources to overcome barriers to attending school and leading happy, healthy lives without limits. In the last two years, AAFA-STL’s budget and programs have seen significant expansion, increasing from $600,000 to a $4,500,000 organizational gross profit.
