St. Vincent de Paul USA (SVDP) is a worldwide network of 800,000 lay Catholics, inspired by Gospel values to grow in holiness and build a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need. Founded over 175 years ago, SVDP continues to grow and expand, offering comprehensive services and drawing more supporters to our mission. We are currently looking to hire for our development team and grow as reputational leaders in homelessness prevention.

As a Major Gifts Officer (MGO), you will work closely with the Chief Advancement Officer and development team to foster relationships with potential donors interested in supporting SVDP’s mission.
What You’ll Love:

· Serve under truly supportive leadership that promotes an atmosphere of compassion and collaboration for the team.
What You’ll Do:
· Represent SVDP’s mission to donors and key stakeholders.
· Manage a portfolio of 150-175 donors and prospects.
· Develop relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporations.
· Identify, research, cultivate, and solicit from portfolio.
· Develop and maintain donor files.
· Utilize wealth-screening information and other research tools to create individual cultivation and solicitation plans, with assistance from fundraising consultants, for all active and prospective donors.
· Employ appropriate research resources that identify major gift and planned gift prospects, their financial capabilities, special interests, and past charitable interests, including annuities, charitable trusts, and bequests.
· Meet with donors in person and attend national events.
· Update donor database with meeting notes and other key donor information.
· Review fundraising key performance indicators and revenue goals quarterly.
· Assist in the planning, coordinating, and implementation of donor events and outreach.
· Provide fundraising assistance to Arch/Diocesan Councils and individual Conferences throughout the United States.
What You’ll Bring (Skills, Passion, Mission fit):
· Mission Fit: Understanding of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, its mission, and values.
· Background/Skills Fit: Minimum of five years’ professional experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven record of successful donor engagement.
· Excellent verbal and written skills.
· An ability to develop a rapport with people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures.
· Willing and able to travel nationally.

Salary Range: $100,000 – $120,000 annually depending on qualifications
