ABOUT REGIONAL BUSINESS COUNCIL
The Regional Business Council (“RBC”) is made up of 100 CEOs of some of the largest companies in the St. Louis area who come together to take on high-impact issues for the betterment of the region. We believe that everyone deserves a good education, a path to a good career, and a safe neighborhood. RBC members are action-oriented and hands-on, with three strategic areas of focus: improving K-12 education in under-resourced areas; building a strong professional and skilled workforce; and enhancing public safety.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Reporting directly to RBC’s President and CEO, you will support the RBC team, removing obstacles and driving efficiencies to better achieve RBC’s mission. You will play the crucial role of ‘organizing and prioritizing,’ while maintaining a continual pulse on organizational needs, upcoming events, and team communication. Your efforts will equip the staff, RBC programs and members to strengthen the St. Louis region. Core responsibilities include yet are not limited to:
- EXECUTIVE SUPPORT – You will provide key executive support to RBC’s CEO, including calendar and communications support. As appropriate, you will respond to stakeholder inquiries, prioritizing meetings and communications with care and professionalism. You will assist with expense tracking, report generation, material and meeting preparation, and other tasks to best equip RBC to achieve its mission.
- MEMBER SUPPORT – You will create materials and communications for RBC’s Board and committee meetings and RBC events. As a facilitator for all key stakeholders, you will anticipate needs, and support both live and virtual meeting reservations. Serving as the ‘front gate’ to the executive office, you will operate as a liaison with council members, community leaders, staff and the public, operating with a high standard of customer service, tact, and discretion.
- OFFICE MANAGEMENT – You will provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, directing incoming inquiries and calls. You will ensure the office has all necessary supplies, assist with mail and delivery processes, partner with RBC vendors on operational needs, and confirm that senior leaders have the necessary resources to execute their day-to-day goals.
- EVENTS & SPECIAL PROJECTS – Consistent with expectations for all RBC team members, you will support events and conferences including planning efforts and day-of execution. As part of a small yet mighty nonprofit team, you can anticipate a spectrum of special projects and wearing a variety of hats to support the mission.

- COMPETITIVE SALARY & COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS – Compensation includes an annual base salary ($55,000-$60,000), commensurate with experience, and bonus eligible. - You have gained 3+ years of executive assistant experience and have developed outstanding organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Experience supporting senior-level corporate executives preferred.
- You bring experience interacting with high-level stakeholders, and consistently work to ensure a high level of professionalism, customer-service orientation, and responsiveness.
- You are a team player who is motivated to support others proactively and reactively.
- You handle confidential information with tact and discretion, and you demonstrate superior attention to detail.
- You proactively and clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in written communications. You interact with team members at all levels with a professional, respectful approach.
- You enjoy a wide spectrum of projects and can flex between strategic and tactical priorities.
- You have strong technology skills including comfort with tools such as Microsoft365, meeting platforms (Zoom), e-marketing tools (Benchmark), and relevant cloud-based software.
- You have a high school diploma – college degree preferred.
WORK LOCATION & OFFICE HOURS
This position requires an on-site presence at RBC’s office five (5) days a week. Standard office hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm, with “early Fridays” ending at 3:00pm. Office is based in downtown Clayton at 7701 Forsyth Avenue, Ste. 205, Clayton, Missouri, 63105. Free parking is provided.
