St. Francis Community Services

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct intakes, screen for suicidality and homicidality, and provide appropriate referrals when necessary.

Maintain a caseload of approximately 25 mental health clients.

Administer assessments to clients and diagnose with the use of the DSM-5-TR, prepares treatment plans, and implements treatment interventions.

Assist in the development and implementation of group therapy treatment.

Provide limited case management to mental health clients based on need.

Drive to multiple schools and/or parishes to provide clinical services, mental health outreach, and education, or provide telehealth sessions when necessary for safety and/or accessibility.

Actively participate in agency and community efforts to build culturally responsive mental health outreach, education, and interventions for the Spanish-speaking community.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge and Expertise Requirements:

Education: Must have Masters of Social Work degree or a Master of Arts or Science degree in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited school.

  • Must be eligible for full or provisional licensure in the State of Missouri.
  • Bilingual (oral and written) Spanish and English. As a minimum, basic knowledge of Spanish is required.
  • 2 years of direct experience in social services or mental health setting providing treatment and support services to individuals and/or families.
