“It’s a privilege to work with dedicated people who want to improve their communities…and extremely rewarding to help them solve problems, build their leadership skills and improve their organizations.”
Amy founded The Rome Group more than twenty-five years ago. She is committed to her belief that stronger nonprofits make a better community for everyone. This idea remains the driving force for The Rome Group’s team.
Prior to starting The Rome Group, she was an executive at the United Way of Greater St. Louis and the President of the Metropolitan Association for Philanthropy (now the Gateway Center for Giving). Amy teaches graduate courses at Washington University’s Brown School of Social Work.
Amy earned her Masters of Social Work degree from Washington University’s Brown School where she was presented with the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2007.
Amy enjoys traveling and is always ready for an adventure. She spends time managing, exercising and feeding Ollie, her canine companion..
