With the 50th anniversary of St. Louis’ iconic Gateway Arch fast approaching, city leaders recognized that the Arch grounds would need a major renovation to make it easier for St. Louisans and visitors to access and enjoy this most treasured monument. But at an estimated price tag of $500 million, was such a renovation even possible?

To help answer that question, CityArchRiver 2015 looked to our team. Over the course of several months, we conducted an extensive feasibility analysis to gauge the level of interest and potential support among local philanthropists, foundations, and corporations for the project. Our findings were encouraging, and the project ​broke ground in August 2013.

We continued to serve as fundraising counsel for CityArchRiver to help them focus and strengthen their efforts to raise $250 million in private support. Progress on the riverfront renovation continues, and we are excited to be part of the celebration of this great regional triumph.
