The Angel Band Project

The Music Therapy Program Director will be responsible for all communication between music therapists and partner agencies who are involved with scheduling and servicing our music therapy programs in St. Louis, MO and Seattle, WA, as well as the 2024 pilot program in five additional cities.  This position supervises the Part-Time Music Therapy Administrator in New York City.  This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to be time-sensitive with all correspondence.

Duties and responsibilities

•   Scheduling music therapy workshops in St. Louis, Seattle, and other cities as determined by the Executive Director (annually 18-25 workshops per year)
•   Serving as a liaison between the music therapists and the partner agencies
•   Ensuring all required documentation is on file for the music therapists (i.e. agreements, bios, headshots, background checks, proof of board certification, proof of professional liability insurance)
•   Ensuring all required documentation is on file for the partner agencies (i.e. Memorandum of Understanding, Proof of Insurance, Staff Contact information)
•   Create marketing flyers for workshops and special projects
•   Communicating with the Executive Director on planned workshops and music therapist scheduling
•   Communicating with the music therapists following workshop completion to make sure all reports and evaluations are uploaded for analysis.
•   Conducting outreach for prospective agency partners
•   Maintaining calendar for all scheduled music therapy workshops
•   Obtaining quotes from the music therapists that can be used as testimonials about our programming
•   Creating quarterly and annual reports on music therapy programming
•   Attending Program Committee Meetings every other month for updates
•   Support annual gala in St. Louis through event plans involving clients and/or music therapists

Qualifications

·      Excellent written and oral communication skills
·      Excellent organizational skills and sound computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google/Canva)
·      Experience and/or professional knowledge of music therapy preferred
·      Sensitivity and interest in the effort to support survivors of sexual violence and maintain confidentiality.
·      Strong collaborator, face to face and virtually
·      Self-starter, able to work independently and with limited direction and flexible hours

Salary Range

·      This position is an hourly, part-time position that will pay between $28-38 hour commensurate with skills and experience.
