Job Title: Deputy Director
Salary: $70,000-$90,000
About HESTL: House Everyone STL is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created to lead the way in ending homelessness in the greater St. Louis area using data-centric solutions that support community service providers and drive systemic change.
Position Overview: The Deputy Director will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission by co-leading regional strategy and innovation efforts, supporting administrative functions, and fostering community engagement. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, adept at managing multiple projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
– Regional Strategy and Innovation:
o Organizational Outreach: Co-lead outreach efforts to build relationships with community organizations and stakeholders. Participate in regional coalitions as needed.
o Sectoral Capacity Building and Innovation: Support initiatives aimed at building the capacity and innovating new solutions for the Homeless Response system in the region.
o System Mapping and Research: Analyze and map regional systems to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Research proven solutions from other communities.
– Administrative and Management Functions:
o Grants: Work with contract grant writer to submit and manage grants that further the mission of the organization.
– Community Support:
o Inclement Weather Planning: Lead a coalition of diverse stakeholders to ensure proper emergency weather response for the unhoused. Tactical support will be provided by the Operations and Community Support Coordinator.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences) or equivalent experience.
– Proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and community engagement.
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and inform strategic decisions.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Experience with grant management and fundraising is preferred.
– Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
