Rung for Women is looking for like-minded individuals to join our team of passionate and enthusiastic individuals who are committed to inspiring women to climb the economic ladder. Rung for Women partners with employers and training providers who offer a fast-track to a new career through short-term industry-specific training, on-the-job training, and/or apprenticeships. Our Members gain access to a community of like-minded women, health and wellness amenities, and childcare to support them in achieving their goals.
Since our launch in March of 2021, more than 500 women have begun a journey with Rung. Many of them have completed coaching, and career training, and have achieved better employment opportunities and increased their income.

Position summary: The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for identifying and connecting with motivated women who want career advancement or a career change. This position will lead the design and implementation of a recruitment strategy to attract potential Members to participate in Rung’s program. This position will share Rung Members’ success stories through networking, presentations, and events to ensure as many qualified women as possible enroll in the program. How you’ll help Rung achieve our vision: The Recruitment Coordinator will be an expert on our target audience of women and on our services. This position will promote Rung for Women by being a Brand Ambassador and engaging prospective Members to ensure Rung has a pool of qualified applicants for each enrollment period.

What you will do:

Develop & Execute a Recruitment Strategy

  • Demonstrate and articulate a thorough understanding of Rung for Women’s program and admissions criteria.
  • Develop and implement an annual recruitment strategy to ensure a pipeline of prospective Members to meet Rung’s target outcomes for enrollment in collaboration with member engagement team.
  • Create and manage the recruitment activities and events calendar based on the admissions cycle calendar, activities, and organizational goals in collaboration with member engagement team.
  • Work collaboratively with the member engagement team to ensure messaging remains consistent and collective goals regarding target audience are met.
  • Assist member engagement team with conducting or reviewing candidate interviews and application materials as part of the admissions process.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to refine and improve recruitment messaging, branding, assets/materials and strategies to ensure the achievement of team, department, and organizational goals.

Organize & Implement Recruitment Events

  • Organize and execute recruitment events collaboratively with the member engagement team to provide compelling information and generate interest in Rung’s career pathways.
  • Attend Member Overview Sessions for interested applicants.
    Identify, vet, and engage community partners, collaborators, and volunteer speakers to participate in events that expose Members to Rung’s career pathways in collaboration with the Volunteer & Community Engagement Coordinator and Corporate Relations Manager.
  • Coordinate with community partners who have planned career exposure and exploration events and promote Member participation and attendance.
  • Serve as primary contact to plan and attend internal and external recruitment events.
  • Adhere to approved budget for recruitment events, materials, swag and activities.

Establish Relationships with Community Partners

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service while cultivating relationships with prospective applicants who express interest in Rung’s programs.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with nonprofits, community-based organizations and other groups that work with women in our target audience to increase the pipeline of interested qualified applicants.
  • Engage with prospective Members through email, phone, text message, and in-person.
  • Collaborate with Director of Marketing & Communications to develop a social media strategy to target high-potential applicants.
  • Manage the development and distribution of Rung’s recruitment collateral to local organizations.
  • Represent Rung at various events in the community.

General Program Support

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to provide pipeline updates and ensure successful execution of program and achievement of organizational goals.
  • Administer surveys and collect data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment events and activities.
  • Enter data, manage reports, and ensure data integrity within Rung’s Salesforce database.

  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, as well as be able to work well collaboratively.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with ability to effectively answer questions, provide information, and present to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to respond appropriately and effectively to changing circumstances and priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and CRM systems (particularly Salesforce).
