The Vice President of Human Resources and People is in a critical position at Every Child’s Hope, serving on the executive team and impacting every employee within the organization. This role involves oversight of Human Resource Specialists (2.5 positions), recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement, all within the context of a trauma-informed lens.
Key responsibilities include:
· Human Resource Strategy Development and Execution: Aligning HR strategy with the organization’s overall business plan and strategic direction.
· Succession Planning: Ensuring a pipeline of qualified candidates for critical positions.
· Talent Management: Attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
· Change Management: Leading and managing organizational change initiatives.
· Organizational and Performance Management: Enhancing organizational effectiveness and individual performance.
· Training and Development: Implementing training programs to develop employees’ skills.
· Compensation: Designing and managing competitive compensation structures.
· Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items affect the attraction, motivation, development, and retention of the organization’s human resources.
· Implement talent management programs for succession planning and developing high-potential employees for next-level responsibilities.
· Utilize metrics, performance standards, and HR best practices to support decision-making processes.
· Establish controls and policies for mitigating HR-related risks and protecting the organization’s reputation and interests.
· Translate the organization’s strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans.
· Ensure all aspects of our trauma-informed approach, including secondary trauma practices and how they relate to and impact employees, will be a key aspect of this position.
· Fiscal responsibility for the statewide human resources department, working with other departments as we assess compensation and benefits.

This is a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-faceted role that requires a thought leader with strategic vision and process planning skills, who highly values the people who serve and work at ECH. The position reports to the Chief Administrative Officer.
Qualifications:
· A master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field with seven (7+) years of experience, and supervision/leadership is preferred. Consideration will be given to a bachelor’s degree with extensive experience in HR and providing leadership oversight and supervision.
· Executive level experience is preferred.
· Proven track record of successfully managing HR operations in a dynamic and growing organization.
· Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
· Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong organizational and leadership skills.
· Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, be drug-free, and pass a criminal background check.
· Ability and means to travel to various locations ECH satellite locations regularly.
· Strategic thinker and problem-solver with the ability to work under pressure.
· Excellent people management and customer service skills with a heightened attention to delivery technique.
· Current SHRM Certification
