About Us:
The Consumers Council of Missouri (CCM) is dedicated to empowering consumers and advocating for their rights. We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team and support our mission.
Position Summary:
We seek an organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to provide essential support across various functions. This part-time position (15 hours per week) offers a competitive rate of $25 per hour, with flexible working hours to be mutually agreed upon.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance, including answering phones, managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organized files and records.
• Office Management: Coordinate daily office operations by ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, reviewing reimbursement requests, and fostering a welcoming environment.
• Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately enter and manage data across various databases, act as a liaison between employees and the bookkeeper, and prepare detailed reports as needed.
• Meeting Coordination: Support the CCM team in scheduling, organizing, and preparing for meetings, and attend some meetings to provide assistance.
• Communication: Serve as a professional point of contact for inquiries from consumers, stakeholders, board members, and the public, ensuring courteous and effective communication.
Travel: Organize travel arrangements.
• Project Assistance: Collaborate with team members on various projects and initiatives, participate in project calls, track project and report deadlines, maintain board documents, and participate in project calls.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite (Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.), Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong typing skills and familiarity with mobile applications.
• Experience in an administrative role, ideally within a non-profit or advocacy organization.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Open to learning new skills.
