Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support (Share) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to serving families whose lives have been touched by the tragic loss of a baby during pregnancy, at birth, or in infancy. We provide grief support, education, and resources to bereaved families and to professionals seeking to improve their understanding of the impact of pregnancy and infant loss.

We are seeking a compassionate and driven Development Manager to lead our fundraising efforts, helping to advance our mission and support families in their time of need.

Position Summary:

The Development Manager will play a vital role in executing Share’s fundraising initiatives, including donor relations, corporate and foundation partnerships, event coordination, and digital campaigns. The ideal candidate will be an organized, results-driven professional with commitment to our mission and experience in various aspects of nonprofit fundraising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising Support: Assist the ED in executing the organization’s fundraising plan to meet annual revenue goals across multiple channels. Assist in preparing grant proposals and sponsorship materials.
  • Donor Relations & Stewardship: Manage and cultivate relationships with individual donors, including implementing donor engagement strategies and coordinating regular communications and acknowledgments.
  • Corporate & Foundation Partnerships: Support the identification and cultivation of corporate and foundation prospects.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate logistics for fundraising events, including annual auction, Share Walk for Remembrance & Hope and all third-party events. Recruit and manage all volunteers, including the auction committee and Social Board.
  • Digital & Direct Marketing: Assist in developing and executing digital fundraising campaigns, including email appeals, social media outreach, and online giving strategies.
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate donor records, enter all gifts and produce acknowledgement letters, track fundraising performance, and prepare regular reports on campaign progress and donor engagement. Manage Harness, CRM-Neon and ClickBid.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Director, board members, and program staff to align on fundraising strategies and support organization-wide goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in nonprofit development or a related role.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in donor communications and grant writing.
  • Event planning experience, with the ability to coordinate event logistics, manage vendors, and support volunteer engagement.
  • Proficiency in donor management systems and Microsoft Office; experience with digital marketing platforms and social media is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • This position requires in-office hours 3 days a week with additional in-office hours during events.

Physical Demands:

  • Hands-on participation with event set-up is required.
    Ability to lift items from floor to shoulder level and carry a minimum of 20 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graphic Design or the use of Canva.
  • Familiarity with pregnancy and infant loss issues, or experience working with bereaved families.
