Position Summary:

BioSTL is hiring a Grants Accounting Manager to provide financial oversight for grants and partnerships, focusing on fund management, sub-award processing, and compliance with sponsor guidelines, and to assist in the design, application, and reporting processes for all sponsored programs.

This role is a full-time, salaried position reporting to the Director of Grants Management supporting the BioSTL organization.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Manages financial operations for grants, including budget monitoring, processing expenses, and reconciling accounts for partnerships with external entities.

·       Prepares financial reports for sponsors and internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to sponsor guidelines.

·       Processes sub-awards, ensuring timely payments and compliance with financial reporting requirements for external partners, including universities and community organizations.

·       Monitors expenditures and identifies unallowable costs, collaborating with partners to ensure accurate financial reporting.

·       Supports grant closeout activities, including the preparation of final financial reconciliations and reporting to sponsors.

·       Assists with audits, ensuring accurate financial documentation is available for external partners and sponsor review.

·       Work with BioSTL VP of Finance on financial aspects of targeted grants.

Required Qualifications:

·       Experience developing budgets and financial models for Federal, State, and private grant proposals.

·       Track record of helping to develop winning proposals for sponsored program opportunities.

·       Experience in application processes for grant opportunities and knowledge of financial management of grants.

·       Demonstrated knowledge of federal policy related to grants (2 CFR part 200, procurement, etc)

·       Competency with various Grant portals.

·       Highest personal and professional integrity.
