Position Description:

Guardian Angel is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a full-time Senior Services Program Specialist. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop programming, establish community partnerships, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults in our community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for and experience working with older adults, along with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Compensation: This is a full-time, grant-funded position that will run for one year from the date of hire. The position may be extended beyond one year if additional funding is secured.

Duties:

Develop, implement, and evaluate services aimed at meeting the needs of low-income older adults
Coordinate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to ensure the effective delivery of senior services
Conduct one-on-one assessments and help seniors develop individualized support plans and goals
Make referrals to other services and agencies as needed to ensure comprehensive support for older adults
Help older adults access the food pantry and emergency rent and utility assistance
Organize and facilitate educational workshops, social activities, and other events for seniors
Follow a program budget, track expenses and prepare reports for funders and stakeholders
Develop and maintain partnerships with other agencies that serve older adults, fostering collaboration and resource-sharing

Skills:
– Strong background in behavioral health or related field
– Proven experience in program management and development
– Excellent administrative skills, including record keeping and documentation
– Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively
– Exceptional relationship management skills to build rapport with clients, families, and stakeholders
– Proficient in budgeting and financial management
– Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
– Strong organizational skills to manage multiple programs simultaneously
– Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field is preferred.
