The Housing Partnership, Inc. (THP) is an established community-based nonprofit organization. We believe a healthy and affordable home is the cornerstone that allows people to build better lives for themselves and their communities.  Our mission is to stabilize neighborhoods by creating healthy living environments and financially stable households. Position Overview

The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our organization, ensuring that we operate efficiently and effectively to meet our goals. We are seeking a results-oriented individual to help shape and implement our organization’s strategic direction with passion, creativity and a lot of energy while overseeing all aspects of the organization including operations, fundraising, finances, marketing and outreach.

Key Responsibilities:
•      Work with staff, board and committee members to establishment a strategic plan with annual goals and objectives. Engage members of the board of directors in the work of THP and manage relationships with individual board members and other key volunteers.

•     Develop and manage positive relationships with key stakeholders including actual and potential funders and partners in both the public and private sectors.

•    Ensure that all programming meets or exceeds their annual goals and objectives and that the desired outcomes are achieved.

•    Ensure that quality control measures are followed in all aspect of operations and that customer satisfaction is a priority in all programs.

•      Identify funding sources and prepare grant and foundation proposals to finance our organization’s operations and programming needs. Explore and develop fee-generating lines of business.

•      Manage and maintain financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.  Ensure that all funds, physical assets, and other property of the organization are appropriately safeguarded and administered.  Ensure proper procedures and internal controls are in place to maintain the security of all systems and confidentiality of all records.

•    Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and outreach plan for recruiting customers and partners for the programs and projects.

•    Serve as spokesperson and representative for THP at events and in interactions with other organizations and institutions.  Coordinate the involvement of THP in advocacy and public education to secure improved policies, administrative practices, legislation, resources and public image that impacts nonprofit housing and community development organizations and the work being performed.

•     Participate in planning and implementation of activities that meet or exceed the requirements of being designated as a Community Housing Development and HUD-Approved Housing organizations including conducting an annual community meeting to update the community on activities of THP and soliciting direct input from community residents and stakeholders on the needs in the community.

•     Perform other duties deemed necessary by the Board of Directors.

Personal Qualities:
•      Highly motivated self-starter with strong project management, negotiation, facilitation and change management skills.

•      Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and resourcefulness.

•      Ability to interact and articulate effectively and confidently with individuals at all social and economic levels that access services, other members of the community and business partners.

•      Understanding of financial strategies and finance-related performance metrics.

•      Ability to be flexible, adaptive and positive in a constantly changing environment.

•      Desire to always learn new skills and study best practices in relevant operations, management and governance.

•      Aptitude for verbal and written communication, presentation and relationship development.

•      Strong ability to assess situations and develop solutions leading to favorable outcomes.

Experience and Qualification Requirements:
•      Prior management or leadership experience.

•      Bachelor’s degree and more than five years of relevant work experience in housing, lending, real estate development, community development, nonprofit or trade association management, construction, or another related field. Master’s degree preferred but not required.

•      Excellent interpersonal skills.
